It’s National Women’s Day this Wednesday, August 9th and time for the ladies to sit back, relax and enjoy the day off in the best way possible… with local sounds, fabulous food and good company at The Buco Umhlanga Food and Music Festival.
Hosted at Chris Saunders Park in Umhlanga, ladies are encouraged to bring along their family and friends to celebrate! Doors open from 12 noon till 8pm.
For the food lovers there will be Artisan food stalls boasting fresh, creative, gourmet and mostly South African inspired cuisine, with tasty chow ranging from burgers, chicken strips, Indian street food, chicken prego rolls, peri-peri livers, espetada, flatbreads with gourmet toppings and potato twisters, that will complement the local craft beer offering at the craft beer tent.
Added to the mix will be a G&T Garden, and a selection of fine wines sure to get you moving to the sounds of local South African artists including headline act, Matthew Mole.
Well-known South African artist Matthew Mole will entertain you with his amazing vocal talent. His signature sound of folk with electronics will have you singing-a-long to fan favourites such as Take Yours, I’ll Take Mine, Run, Holding on and more. He was recently nominated in the categories for Best Pop and Best Produced album at the 23rd edition of the South African Music Awards and is sure to make your Women’s Day extra special.

Tickets cost R100 per person through Webtickets and R120 at the door. Children under 8 years are free.
Don’t forget, with so much on offer, own food, drink and umbrellas will not be permitted at the venue. Alcohol will not sold to persons under the age of 18.
