Celebrating Spring: Things to do in Durban on 2-3 September

With Spring finally here, what better way to welcome it in than by making the most of your weekend.

Here are some random events being held in Durban this weekend:

 When: Saturday, 2 September 2017 from 9am till 9pm

Where: Wet ‘n Wild, uShaka Marine World, Durban

Why you should go: The Dubane Spring Break party proudly brought to you by Afrotainment, uShaka Marine World and the Dream Team, will present 12 hours of hip happening entertainment with a line-up of performance favorites’ such as DJ Tira, Dreamteam, Benny Maverick, Naak Musiq and the Distruction Boyz as well as multiple award nominee and winner, both internationally and locally, AKA, known for his hits, The World is Yours, Baddest, All Eyes On Me, and more.Plus, apart from dancing the day away to great music, you will also have the chance to experience the exhilarating water slides, including the highest slide in the Southern Hemisphere, the Body Tornado, Duzi river ride and much much more.

Why you should go: This only happens twice a year! Join them for their September SALE! Expect bargain prices, sale rails, budget bins and more. Support Durban’s thriving local, independent and talented creative community and be a part of the #ishoplocal movement.

When: Saturday, 2 September (from 7am) & Sunday, 3 September 2017 (from 8am)

       Where: Granada Square (16 Chartwell Dr, Umhlanga Rocks, Durban)

Why you should go: Enjoy a weekend full of all things healthy at the Health &   Wellness Expo hosted by Granada Square. Enjoy exercise Classes from 7am on Saturday and 8am on Sunday, with exhibitions from 9am and specialised health talks on Saturday, every hour at 11:30am, 12:30am, 1:30pm and 2:30pm by professionals from Discovery and Netcare as well as Dietician & Life Coach Kelly Lynch and on Sunday at 11h30, which will be a health talk by Cherise from Yoga with Cherise.

When: Sunday, 3 September 2017 from 08h30 with the finals at 15h00

Where: Durban High School (255 St Thomas Road, Musgrave, Durban).

Why you should go: Over 30 KZN high schools will take part in this football tournament which is in its 17th year. Expect to see some top class schoolboy and schoolgirl talent. The public, family, and friends are all encouraged to come down and show their support.
